Uploaded content (insurance policies, contracts, documents, other files).
Prompts, queries, feedback, chat interactions, and support requests.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Device, browser, and network metadata (IP address, user agent, OS version).
Log data (timestamps, feature usage, error reports).
Cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy for more information).

C. Derived and Aggregated Data

Structured outputs generated by AI processing of your content.
De-identified or aggregated data created from user content and usage metrics.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, and improve the Platform.
To process your uploaded content and generate structured insurance analyses.
To ensure security, prevent fraud, and enforce our policies.
To conduct research and improve models (through third-party LLM providers such as Google Gemini).
To create aggregated, anonymized datasets for analytics, product development, and potential commercial use.
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data, user content, and usage logs for as long as necessary to operate the Platform, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Uploaded documents and related outputs may be retained by default.
Users may request deletion, subject to technical feasibility and legal obligations.
Aggregated and de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Model Improvement and Opt-Out

Covara may use your inputs, outputs, and uploaded documents to improve the Platform and underlying models. You may opt out of such use at any time by following instructions in your account settings or contacting us directly. Opt-out requests will not apply retroactively to data already used for improvement or aggregated datasets.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information with:

Vendors and service providers who support hosting, analytics, and processing functions.
Third-party LLM providers (e.g., Google Gemini) for processing user content.
Affiliates and successors in connection with corporate transactions.
Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information. We may use or disclose de-identified or aggregated data for analytics, research, or future commercial purposes.

7. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

9. International Use

Covara is based in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., you consent to your information being transferred and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may be less protective.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
