AI Assistant

The AI Assistant lives at /{your_org_name}/ai. It answers questions about attached policy documents and keeps prior sessions in the assistant sidebar.

The workspace also includes Covara Copilot, a persistent side panel that can answer with the current page context while you stay on the page you are using.

Start A Chat

Open AI Assistant

Choose AI Assistant from the workspace navigation.

Attach one or more documents

Use the attach button to select existing policies or upload a new document. Starter prompts require at least one attached document.

Ask a specific question

Ask about exclusions, limits, endorsements, missing details, renewal changes, or differences you need to understand.

Review sources

When an answer includes citations, click a source to open the PDF viewer at the referenced page.

Good Prompts

What are the liability limits in this policy?

Which exclusions should a risk manager review first?

What parts of this policy could create uncovered exposure?

Which endorsements materially change coverage?

Summarize this policy for an executive review.

List fields that look incomplete or need broker follow-up.

An existing chat opens at /{your_org_name}/ai/[sessionId]. The thread keeps its messages and attached documents. You can add or remove attachments during the thread; Covara syncs the session's document list as you change it.

Attachment scope matters

The assistant is strongest when the right documents are attached. If an answer seems unrelated, check the attachment bar before asking again.

From A Document

You can also start from the Documents table. Open a document row action and choose Chat with Document. Covara opens the assistant with that document selected so you can begin asking about it.

Covara Copilot Panel

Use Covara Copilot when you want chat help without leaving the page. The panel can:

Start a new chat or reopen prior threads
Pin itself beside the workspace or maximize for more room
Use document IDs from the current page, report, comparison, or query string
Attach existing policies or upload a new policy from the composer
Open cited PDF sources in a viewer

When to use which chat

Use the full AI Assistant page for longer document-review sessions. Use Covara Copilot for quick questions about the page or policy you already have open.

Source Review

Answers can include source links grouped by document and page. Use them to verify the exact policy language before making coverage decisions.
